We were honored to attend the opening of an archeological exhibition on Friday, 19th July 2024, organized by the Intermunicipal Institute for the Protection of Cultural Monuments in Subotica. Held at the local library “Branislav Nušić,” this exhibition showcases a significant archeological find that came to light last summer during the construction of our new business premises in Novi Kneževac.
As construction began, we encountered an unexpected yet fascinating discovery—a historical treasure trove beneath our feet. The site revealed remnants of an ancient settlement and necropolises dating back to the 3rd and 4th centuries. This remarkable find prompted the Intermunicipal Institute for the Protection of Cultural Monuments in Subotica to undertake excavations to uncover and preserve these relics.
Despite facing delays in our construction plans, we embraced this discovery as a connection to our ancestors, affirming the wisdom in choosing our location. Throughout the excavation process, we actively supported the Institute, contributing to the preservation of our shared heritage.
Now, this project has culminated in an exhibition that offers the public a glimpse into the ancient past and a chance to witness these remarkable findings firsthand.
