Earlier this week, we participated in the Regional Legal Business Forum in Zlatibor, the largest gathering of in-house lawyers across the Balkan region. This was our first year attending, building on our commitment to sustainable food systems that meet the evolving needs of the future.
Our presentation focused on the crucial role that legal frameworks play in supporting the digital transformation of agriculture.
Our vision at LoginEKO is urgent and clear: to build food systems that not only sustain but secure a healthier, safer future for generations to come. However, achieving this vision demands a forward-looking regulatory environment that can evolve alongside technological advancements in agriculture, including the encouragement of governments as regulatory bodies to ensure meaningful impact across the sector.
A critical part of this transformation is harnessing reliable data. Our Farming Software covers every aspect of farm management, from planning and field monitoring to resource allocation, field operations, and warehouse management, ensuring each step is informed and optimized. We advocate for regulatory changes that improve data accessibility—such as free use of geo maps for common good purposes—to enable more effective digitalization across the industry.
Transparency is another cornerstone of our strategy. With our traceability tool, The Origin, we offer consumers an unprecedented look at the food journey, from seed to fridge. This commitment to openness reflects a broader call for regulatory improvements to enhance traceability standards, addressing quality concerns that are especially critical in food exports.
Looking ahead, we see a pressing need for agricultural regulations to prioritize soil health, encourage sustainable practices through subsidies, taxes and other incentives, and support the responsible management of natural resources across generations. Collaborative efforts and progressive regulatory updates are vital to creating a resilient and sustainable food system that meets the demands of a rapidly changing world.
Our goal is to actively participate in this regulatory evolution, and we hope that by the next forum, we will not only be part of the discussion but also contributing directly to legislative changes—both in Serbia and within the EU.
