2025 at LoginEKO: Building Large-Scale Organic Farming That Works
December 23, 2025A look back at 2025 at LoginEKO: large-scale organic farming results, plant-based nitrogen, open traceability, farming software, and food development.
Read articleWe’ve wrapped up spring sowing across all plots. Here’s how it went, what’s growing, and what we’re preparing for next.
From chickpeas and sunflower to test crops like hemp and cowpea, we’ve finished sowing across all designated plots and are ready for the next stage—growth, care, and harvest planning.
This year, spring sowing took place under favorable weather conditions, with sufficient rainfall in March and April ensuring optimal soil moisture. After careful field preparation, we focused on getting each crop off to a strong start.
While chickpeas and sunflower make up the bulk of our spring crops, we also dedicated smaller plots to test crops like amaranth, millet, sorghum, cowpea, and hemp. These trials help us develop reliable organic production technologies and expand crop diversity in a way that supports long-term soil health and food system resilience.
Here’s a breakdown of what we’ve planted:
Weed control was a key focus this season, especially in chickpeas, where we used several mechanical passes to keep the soil surface active and weeds in check, without disturbing the crop. Thanks to timely interventions and precise machinery, we’re entering the growing season with clean rows and healthy plants.
If you want to see our full weed control strategy in action, check out our how-to videos on seedbed preparation, sowing and interrow cultivation for organic chickpeas.
Harvest planning is already underway. With sowing complete, we’re monitoring each plot using our Farming Software—tracking development, soil conditions, and intervention needs to ensure a healthy, productive harvest.

As with every season, we remain focused on smart crop-rotations, environmental benefits, and a transparent, traceable process from seed to storage.
