Our 2025 organic harvest is complete, with 99% of fields harvested, all fully traceable, transparent, and organic. From oats and peas to sunflower and wheat, every crop tells a story of what sustainable farming can achieve.

Another harvest season is behind us, and with it, a moment of shared pride for our entire team.

Every season reminds us why we do what we do: to prove that plant-based, sustainable, organic farming can work and thrive at scale.

This year, the spring was cooler than in our previous season, which delayed the appearance of diseases and pests and allowed us to reduce the number of protection treatments. We’re continuously working towards building a resilient, self-sufficient system, and growing most of our crops with no operations needed between sowing and harvest proves we’re on the right track.

On the other hand, the dry conditions posed challenges for spring crops such as sunflowers or chickpeas, though we still achieved satisfactory yields. In our southern location, heavy rainfall after sowing caused crust formation, which reduced plant density and, consequently, the final yield.

Over 8.700 tonnes of organic crops harvested

This year’s harvest brought in a total of 9.871 tonnes of organically grown, traceable crops grown across 3.250 ha. Of those, 8.792 tonnes are certified under BioSuisse, Naturland, and EU Organic as well as Serbian organic standards.

Main crops harvested in 2025*:

*These are both organically certified and organically grown crops. Some of our organically grown crops are sold without certification to preserve full organic integrity and prevent contamination. Read more on our Quality Assurance and Risk Management page.

Alongside these main crops, we also harvested sorghum, millet, hemp, cowpea, and broad bean, further diversifying our crop rotations and strengthening our soil health for future seasons.

99% of fields harvested

This year, we successfully harvested 99% of all fields.

That might sound like a technical figure, but for any farmer, it’s a real achievement, and a signal that our farming model works.

When crops stay unharvested, it’s often due to failed crops, and occasional equipment breakdowns, or economic and logistical barriers. In other words, the 1% left behind tells you about the limits of any farming system, and the 99% we harvested tells us we’re on the right path.

Without livestock manure, synthetic fertilizers, or pesticides, our plant-based organic model works and delivers consistent results, year after year.

We’re now preparing our 2025 yield report, where we’ll share deeper insights and results. It’s our way of continuing to learn, share, and prove that sustainable farming can feed the future.

Farming with transparency

Each crop is fully traceable, thanks to our Farming Software, ensuring transparency and reliability.

As always, all our crops and certifications are visible to anyone on our wholesale page, and this year, for the first time, we’re proud to share complete traceability reports for all harvested crops directly within The Origin, our traceability platform.

A season of learning, sharing, and growth

We’re proud of what we achieved, and even more excited that we get to share what we learned.

This year, we opened up our work to others through a series of educational “How-To” videos, showing how we grow, cultivate, and harvest organically at scale.

Our goal? To make large-scale organic farming easier to understand and easier to adopt. Because the more people who can do it, the faster we can transition to a sustainable food system.
