Know what’s happening in your fields, right when it’s happening. The new Field Activity Panel brings real-time clarity to farm operations.

Managing operations across a whole farm is never simple. Fields, machinery, people, and timing all have to line up.

That’s why we’ve introduced the Field Activity Panel, a new feature in the Maps Module of our Farming Software. It provides a simple, visual overview of what’s happening in the fields in real time.

With the Field Activity Panel, you can:

1. Track the progress of operations

The panel gives you a clear picture of every active operation, grouped by crop and type (sowing, tillage, spraying, harvesting, etc.).

You can instantly see which crops are in production and what operations are active on them, along with total hectares planned, in progress, and completed. This gives you a quick estimate of how much work remains and how long it will take.

Let’s take a look at our oat sowing, for example. You can instantly see that 801,34 hectares are finished, and 123,88 hectares are still left.

2. Track operators and machinery in real time

The panel also shows who is working where — and with which machine. Operators with active sessions appear on the farm map, along with the equipment they’re using.

Clicking on an operator provides deeper insights, including:

  • Location history (where they’ve been during the session)
  • Task events (start times, active hours, and material pick-ups)
  • Active machinery (which tractor and implement they’re using)

This creates a transparent record of fieldwork, making it easier to: coordinate resources on the fly, optimize routes and logistics, monitor machinery use, and evaluate efficiency and costs over time.

This is only the first version, and we’re already testing new improvements, such as displaying work order events directly on the map,  showing the paths of vehicles and operators for an even clearer picture of progress, and visualizing field coverage based on GPS data from operators’ mobile devices. This will provide a clear view of where work was actually performed and how much area was covered.

In the end, our goal is to make data work for the farmer. The Field Activity Panel is another step toward smarter, more efficient farm management: less stress, fewer delays, and more confidence in every operation.
