New Sustainable Solutions for the Food Industry

Following the success of Njamito, we're now offering sustainable solutions for the food industry to help create more climate-friendly products.

Njamito, our meal in a bottle, is an innovative product – the first in its category to use HPP technology to extend shelf life. The fruit and vegetable components of the product are subjected to high pressure, rather than high temperature, which results in minimal sensory loss and nutrient degradation. This technique represents the latest advancement in preserving the natural characteristics of food and is mainly applied to cold-pressed fruit juices and smoothies.

testing Njamito prototypes

Since Njamito has a much more complex formulation, which includes pea protein, nuts, and cereals, our R&D team needed to solve two significant challenges. The first challenge was ensuring a smooth mouthfeel of pea protein, without its otherwise sandy and chalky texture. We achieved this by combining it with oats under a specially developed thermal process. The second challenge was ensuring the stability of the end product in the acidic environment of fruits and vegetables after being exposed to high pressure. We resolved this with a specialized mixing protocol. We are now ready to share all this knowledge with the rest of the food industry.

Building on our experience with Njamito, we are now providing a range of sustainable solutions for the food industry, designed to help food companies create more climate-friendly products:

1. Licensing Model for Plant-Based Products

As part of our licensing model, we’ve developed innovative formulations for meal in a bottle products and similar categories, backed by the expertise of our food lab. Our licensing model includes organic oat and pea protein bases, all designed with ease of application and sustainability in mind. Additionally, our advanced traceability platform ensures complete transparency from ingredients to customers’ hands. With our licensing model, it is easy for companies to produce and launch their own meal in a bottle or similar products, using innovative HPP technology or more traditional preservation methods such as pasteurization and UHT.

2. Organic Food Ingredient Solutions

For those in need of organic ingredients, we provide food ingredient solutions made from our organic oats, including gluten-free options.

3. Expanding Global Distribution for Njamito

As Njamito continues to grow, we’re eager to partner with new distributors to bring our products to international markets.

Our solutions are ideal for companies focused on transparency, plant-based and gluten-free developers, HPP processors, and food producers aiming to innovate in the meal in a bottle space, creating products that benefit both human and planetary health.
