Celebrating our third renewal of Bio Suisse certification! Discover how this trusted label supports us in delivering sustainable, ethical, and fully traceable organic crops.

We’re proud to have successfully renewed our BioSuisse certification—our third renewal since first earning it in 2022. This renewal confirms our place in a global network of organic producers who share a commitment to the highest standards of sustainable farming.

Bio Suisse represents a community of 7,362 organic producers and gardeners across Switzerland, alongside over 2,300 certified farms and producer groups worldwide. We’re proud to stand alongside farmers who value not only organic methods but a truly holistic and ethical approach to agriculture.

What makes Bio Suisse stand out?

Bio Suisse goes well beyond minimum legal requirements, pushing farms toward practices that protect the land and biodiversity. This includes:

  • A thorough conversion period that meets or exceeds EU organic norms.
  • Dedicating at least 7% of farm area to biodiversity, supporting natural habitats on and around the farm.
  • Strict limits on synthetic pesticides, fertilizers, and GMOs.

Additionally, Bio Suisse requires that the entire farm operation is fully certified organic. This holistic approach ensures full integrity across the farm.

To complement these high standards, our Farming Software and The Origin ensure full traceability of all our crops, tracking every step of cultivation, harvest, and processing.

This traceability gives our buyers confidence that the food they receive is responsibly produced and fully accounted for.

Helping farmers navigate organic certification

This renewal also marks our fourth and final certification we’ve successfully renewed this season.

If you’re a farmer considering organic certification, choosing the right standard for your farm can be overwhelming. To support you, we’ve created a free, comprehensive comparison table that breaks down the key requirements across Bio Suisse, Naturland, Serbian Organic, and EU Organic standards.

This guide aims to help you understand the similarities and differences and select the best certification to fit your farm’s vision and goals. It’s available in both English and now in Serbian to reach more farmers in our region.
