We are looking for
a seasoned Senior Data engineer, who enjoys the challenge of organizing data coming from all possible sources (and more) and organizing it in a way that science can be made. Like the future depends on you (and it does 🙂 ).
Your role
- You will be responsible for developing and maintaining the data infrastructure in the cloud, which will include (but not limited to): servicing and orchestrating data pipelines, providing meaningful and detailed documentation, ensuring data quality and user accessibility
- You will set up ingestion frameworks and data compliance contract with stakeholders (such as software engineering teams and our R&D department) that own data-producing and data acquisition systems
- You will provide and maintain ad-hoc prototype reporting and verification solutions for various in-house and external stakeholders
- You will maintain a data catalog to enable data-consuming stakeholders to discover, understand, trust, and access our data assets
- You will contribute in building and improving data products (transformations, dashboards, logical data warehouse models, etc.)
- Suggesting and onboarding new technologies and approaches to improve our data stack
- You will work in sync with the Login5 Foundation’s values and vision
Your experiences and skills
- Mastering the data warehouse principles, databases, data model, and data catalog concepts
- Mastering the software development processes and the main development and DevOPS tools (Git, Gitlab, CI/CD, Terraform/OpenTofu, etc.)
- Hands-on experience with Data Mesh and working in scrum teams
- Excellent understanding of data quality and data governance concepts
- Experience with cloud networking (load balancing, message processing, etc.) is a plus
- Experience in setting up a multi-tenant data warehouse
- Hands-on experience with any cloud platform (GCP preferred) in relation to data ingestion, processing, warehousing, monitoring, orchestration and modeling
- Strong analytical skills and mastering of SQL and Python
- Hands-on experience building data pipelines using dbt
- If you’re interested in R&D, proclivity towards data management used with LLMs (i.e. vectorstore datasets)
- A person passionate about our purpose and willing to go the extra mile
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team and contribute to a positive and innovative work environment
- Ability to work in an agile, fast changing startup environment where priorities can shift quickly
